And by 'some people' I mean--

Regardless of whether or not you like them

On your daughter's first day of Kindergarten
While you hide in the bushes
And tell yourself that's healthy

At your son's high school graduation
Where you see that he's painted the words
'This School Can Suck It'
On his graduation cap

When you drop your daughter off at college
And you're driving home
Trying to figure out if you should take up
Stamp collecting or archery

When you fix your son's tie on his wedding day
Right before you remind him
That if he calls off the whole thing
You can have a taxi there in under an hour

When your marriage ends
When you change jobs
When you find a gray hair
Or when you turn sixty-four
Play the Beatles
Play something by the greatest band ever
And remember--
