100 Words/3. Retrovism

I grew up a Retrovist.  Do they still have Retrovism in 2215?  It was invented in 2080.  It’s the belief that the past was better--so you might as well stay there.  We belonged to the 1950’s branch.  That meant reruns of I Love Lucy and listening to Elvis.  One day my mother ran off with someone from the 90’s branch—the drummer from a grunge band.  I was left with my father, a man whose wife left with somebody from the future and the past.  Dad took down the clocks, and then I never knew what time it was.
